The client required an existing kitchen, dining and family room area to be demolished and re-built, into a new open plan area.  New, large sliding doors were added, opening up onto the existing outdoor living area.  The work also included a new timber deck, with new bi-folding doors and remodelling the ensuite to the master bedroom.

The existing bungalow has had the kitchen, dining and family room areas completely re-built, removing floor, supporting walls and lean-to roof.  A new structure was built, including floor, walls, window and door joinery, and roof over the kitchen and dining area.  Three new skylights provide light to the open plan kitchen, dining and family area.

A new timber deck was added to the Northeast of the family room, with bi-fold doors.  The balustrade was designed to provide privacy from the road, with a simple timber structure.  There is a wonderful outlook from this position, of the ocean and Rangitoto Island.
